When it is time to paint the first thing you should do is to swish the brush you are going to use, in paint thinner, the reason for this is that it will actually make it easier to clean the brush after you are done painting.

Faux finishing is done by sponging a lighter shade on a darker color. This technique will work really well if house painting the rest of the interior designing is very regular and plain. Using a dark shade on a lighter color will give the room an aged look. Hence, it is preferable to use a lighter shade on a darker color.

Primarily it helps whatever paint you’ve chosen for your home decoration to adhere well to the walls. It also helps save you a coat or two of paint if you tint your primer suitably. If you choose the right kind of primer, you could even have a base coat that fights off fungus and mildew.

When home painting your trim paint the tops of the doors  and windows first and work your way down so that you can remove any runs as you go. Paint your baseboards last.

There is yet another breed of paint known as the Eggshell paint. The best description of this type could interior painting be not too glossy yet not too matte just subtle sheen. Eggshell has the potential to lend an element of vastness to your spaces.

The first step is obviously to read the directions on your chosen paint. A two part paint will require mixing the two parts into one container while a one part will not. Two coats are almost certainly required and the drying time will vary with manufacturers as will what to do with the epoxy paint while the tub is drying.
